Quick question. I am making a daily short drum progress video on youtube and was wondering if it would be ok to use a short clip (10-20 seconds) of yours to demonstrate what I am trying to achieve. Full credits and links to your original content will be given. Thanks.. My Youtube channel has 13k followers and is pretty ecliptic with videos between 20 views all the way up to 5,200,000 views.

Do you have a place/website where you get tracks to play with? Learning new grooves but would like to have some music to go with to make it more fun?? Thanks.

Hi, Alex. It's time for me to buy my first real drum kit and I am at a loss. I currently play on a Roland TD-17KVX which is great for my office/ the middle of my restaurant ;) The thing is great but it's now time to get a room :P I have a budget of around 2000us$. I do not want to buy a beginner's kit and I plan to add more parts to it as time goes so, a solid 5-7 pieces kit would be the best. I play mostly funk and Latin (Bossa/ bachata) music have no plans to play heavy metal. I was looking at a Ludwig classic Maple or a Mapex Saturn 5. This is very confusing and if you add that all the reviewers have links to Amazon or clearwater where they get a commission if they sell one. I don't know how objective those reviewers are. Thanks for your help. Ian.

How do you make a living now that spotify has taken over and you can't sell tracks or albums anymore? I am published on Spotify, Itunes, Youtube, ect, ect (Electronic lounge music). I know how much they pay ( fraction of a penny for a stream). I also have over 5 million views on youtube on an other channel and also know how much they pay :P I was curious as you are kind of in the middle of finding a new band hence not gigging at the moment. I have no aspiration in the music industry but was wandering how the "F" can you pay bills and save for retirement. Is this sustainable for you? Sorry if this was depressing. Also might be none of my business. Just asking because I see millions of people of these steaming sites and I know by their stream numbers that they can't be making a living out of this. Cheers. Ian
